2009 Virginia Festival
August 21 and 22, 2009
The Virginia Festival of Puppet Ministry and Creative Arts
is coming back to Newport News once again!
This is your chance to brush up your old skills, learns
some new skills, see some terrific performances, and have a great time along the
way.
The Festival will be held on Saturday, August 22 from 9:00
am until 5:00 pm. Registration
begins at 8:15 am. A full
performance and reception will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, August 21.
Once again, we'll be at First United Methodist Church of Hilton 10246 Warwick
Boulevard (at Main Street) in Newport News
Pricing begins at $35.00 for groups of 4 or more!
Just register online and pay before July 17, 2009.
This includes all performances, four workshop sessions, and lunch on
Saturday.
The first 50 participants to register will get a free cd of
puppet songs so you can start using your skills right away!
Classes currently slated include beginning and advanced
puppetery, ballooning, recording techniques, skit writing, gospel illusions, and
puppet making tips.

cd... "Use These Hands."
The cd
includes fun songs and skits for use in your Sunday School classes or just for
listening. You can hear selections right now! We'll get it to you in about
four or five days! Click on the cd and you'll be transported through cyberspace
where you can enjoy "Use These Hands."
Scripts and instructions on getting puppets to incorporate with "Use
These Hands" will be available right now. Once you've gotten the cd,
